The useful numbers are one layer too deep
Current Cursor plans split usage into Cursor Models and Other Models, with separate cycle spend and on-demand figures on the account page. That is fine until you are mid-refactor and want to know whether to keep going, when stopping to look is exactly the interruption you were trying to avoid.
It also makes comparison difficult. Cursor reports plan percentages and dollars, Claude reports sessions, and Codex reports weekly windows. Three places, no shared picture of what you are actually spending.
What Pane shows you
Cursor Models and Other Models as separate percentage bars with the billing-cycle reset.
Total usage and On-demand figures when the account reports them, plus Credits and Bonus context from the primary API.
Live tray numbers. Star either bar and its remaining percentage renders directly next to your clock.
Shared spend. Cursor's local usage export joins the Today / Yesterday / 30-day donut with everything else, priced at live model rates.
How it connects to Cursor
Pane reads Cursor's own local state database and account APIs. If the primary api2.cursor.sh host is temporarily unreachable, Pane uses cursor.com/api/usage-summary so the real bars stay visible instead of falling back to a meaningless “Requests 0” row. There is no key to paste, and Pane never reads your code or prompts.
Setting it up
- Install Pane with
winget install Pane.Paneor the installer from the homepage. - Click the tray icon. If you are signed into Cursor on this PC, the card is already populated.
- Drag the card to reorder it, or tuck it behind the On Demand caret if you only want it occasionally.

Questions
How do I see my Cursor plan usage?
Install Pane. It reads Cursor's own local state database and account APIs, then shows Cursor Models, Other Models, cycle spend, and the reset time in the Windows system tray.
Do I have to open Cursor to check my usage?
No. Pane runs in the tray independently and can use Cursor's dashboard usage summary if the primary usage host is temporarily unreachable.
Can I track Cursor alongside Claude and Codex?
Yes. Pane shows 22 providers in one popover, so Cursor sits next to Claude, Codex, Copilot and the rest with a shared spend total underneath.
